Natural Alchemy Acupuncture is owned and operated by Matthew Golden, licensed acupuncturist, M.S., L.Ac. Dipl.Ac. (NCCAOM). I attended the Jungtao School of Classical Chinese Medicine in North Carolina for two years and went on to study both classical and traditional Chinese medicine for three years in New York City at the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences. I now hold a Master’s degree in Acupuncture. My understanding and approach to Chinese medicine is further benefited by several years of study of both internal and external forms of Chinese martial arts and meditation in Burlington Vermont, North Carolina, and New York City.
My decision to specialize in the treatment of musculoskeletal pain and injury (see "TRIGGER POINTS AND MOTOR POINTS" in the menu) arose out of my own athletic endeavors and all of the accompanying bumps, bruises, sprains and contusions. From a long history of soccer, running, mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking, martial arts and skiing, I have an intimate and personal understanding of injury and pain.
Outside of my acupuncture pracice, my current passions are backcountry skiing, gardening, and my dog Juno.
